SNOW!!!

We’ve already had our first freeze and winter is on its way. With the first snow, your HOA Board member’s phones begin to ring with neighbors calling to ask, “When will our street be plowed?” The only answer we can offer is, “soon! and followed by, “we hope!”

During inclement weather, the city treats almost 700 miles of streets. Priority one routes, which are emergency service routes and major through-fares, such as Wendover and Battleground Avenues are cleared first, followed by minor thoroughfares like Lake Jeanette Road. Residential streets like those in our neighborhood are plowed only after the main priority streets are cleared.

After a snowfall, you can view the real-time status of snow clearing at www.greensboro-nc.gov.

If anyone has a chronic health issue they should call the city so they can be plowed out sooner. Of course, in life threatening situations, call 911.
